Tumors are diseases caused by uncontrolled cell growth, which can occur in any part of the body, including organs, muscles, bones, or blood. Tumors are classified as benign or malignant, with malignant tumors being cancerous. Some benign tumors may progress to malignancy during disease development.

Benign tumors typically do not invade surrounding tissues or metastasize, while malignant tumors can spread and severely endanger health. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to controlling tumor growth and preventing further spread.
Current treatment methods include surgery, radiotherapy, interventional radiology, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.

Among local ablation therapies, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) is a common treatment for early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Under imaging guidance (CT or ultrasound), an electrode is inserted percutaneously into the tumor. Radiofrequency waves heat the tissue to approximately 95°C, causing coagulative necrosis of the tumor. RFA offers multiple advantages: minimally invasive, rapid recovery, fast heating within the tumor, effective coagulation, reduced scarring, lower complication rates, and preservation of cosmetic appearance.

Role of HPKK400 High-Pressure Peristaltic Pump in RFA
Kamoer’s newly developed HPKK400 High-Pressure Peristaltic Pump is specifically designed for the cooling system of radiofrequency ablation devices. During surgery, it continuously delivers chilled saline into the electrode needle to form a circulating cooling flow. This prevents carbonization and charring of tissue at the needle tip, thus improving ablation efficiency and shortening procedure time.
Key Features of HPKK400:
-
High-pressure capability: Supports liquid transfer up to 6 bar, meeting the demanding requirements of medical cooling circulation.
-
Flexible motor options: Available with stepper motor (0.2–260 ml/min, 24V 25W) or brushless motor (25–500 ml/min, 24V 75W).
-
Quick tubing change: Equipped with imported TYGON® E-3603 tubing, durable and easy to replace.
-
Safe and hygienic: Fluids only pass through the tubing, ensuring sterile operation during RFA procedures.
-
Compact and durable: Metal housing with robust design, ideal for medical environments.
